Healthy Yards
Monroe County
Healthy Yards Monroe County is a volunteer group of residents of Monroe County NY who are passionate about repairing and expanding our region’s biodiversity, with a focus on the critical importance of planting native species and ensuring that areas of native plantings are distributed such that they provide a connected network for wildlife to move about to find food, mates, and shelter.
RAICA has helped places of worship “green” their facilities through energy-saving retrofit, contracting for budget-saving community solar energy, establishing composting programs and educating their members through programs such as Pachamama's Drawdown
SHR is a community campaign designed to encourage residents to install clean heating and cooling technologies and improve home energy efficiency.
Showing Up For
Racial Justice
SURJ supports the missions of People of Color-led racial justice groups in the Rochester area in their fight against oppression and inequality. They educate white people about privilege and white supremacy and organize white people to act for racial justice with passion and accountability.
