The New York legislative session passed many laws in both houses that have environmental and climate impacts. Here is the list that Climate Reality kept of new climate laws passed by this year's legislature. All but three of them were bills that volunteers for Climate Reality, NY worked on.
You can see that our state Senator, Samra Brouk, and Assembly Member, Jen Lunsford both voted yes for all of these bills. Additionally, Assembly Member Lunsford was a co-sponsor of two of them:
Relates to the right to clean air and water and a healthful environment
Established a state geologic trail.
